How to get FREE eBooks from our library for Kindles

 

1.   Go to our website:  www.ovmlibrary.org

2.   Click on the “Online Resources” tab

3.   Click on the “eBranch2Go” link

4.   Click on “Log In”

5.   Choose Oswayo Valley Memorial Library from the drop down list

6.   In the box enter your full 14-digit library card number and

click on “Log In”

7.   From here you can search for books that you would like to borrow

To search for only Kindle books change the drop down box on the far right from “All Formats” to “Kindle Book”.

8.   Once you find a book, add to cart

9. Click on “Proceed to Checkout”

10. Click on “Confirm Checkout”

11.   Your cart will open. Click on “Get for Kindle”

12.   Amazon.com will then open and you will click on the “Get Library Book” button

13.   You will then be asked to sign into your Amazon account that has your Kindle connected to it or, if you are already signed in it will automatically download your book

14.   Once signed in, it will proceed to send your book wirelessly if you have your wireless turned on

15.   Otherwise click on the “Download” button–but first plug your Kindle into your computer via USB cable

16.   Then hit “Download”

17.   Save it to a location, like your desktop

18.   Open your Kindle files on your computer

19.   Move the saved book from the location you put it to your Kindle documents

20.   Search for the book on your Kindle table of contents. Sometimes it will put it at the top of your list of books however, if you use your USB cable it may put it in your archived section.

 

Remember the free books can be checked out for up to 21 days.  They will disappear from your device once your time is up.
