June 5th Update

Curbside Pickup Services Available

As we wait upon further guidelines from the state in order to be able to open to the public, we are offering curbside services. Please see the information below on how the process works.

Browsing: To help you “shop” for items, we have 3 carousels on our SPARK catalog, https://oswayo.sparkpa.org/eg/opac/home: New Items, DVDs, and Recently Returned. You can scroll through these carousels to see if there are any items for which you would like to place a hold, or you can search for items through the SPARK catalog. If you do not have a specific title in mind, please call or email with an author’s name or genre and we will be happy to select a few items for you.

Place a Hold: Holds can be placed for books, audiobooks, and DVDs at any time by logging into your account on the SPARK catalog, by email at ovmlibrary@gmail.com, or by calling the library at (814)697-6691. Holds will not be accepted in person and will only be filled for OVML items. No inter-library loans will take place during this time. You can reserve up to 10 items, with a maximum of 3 DVDs per card.

Pick Up: You will receive a call to schedule a pickup time when your items are ready. Items will already be checked out and sealed in plastic bags with your first name and last initial on the bag. The bag will be placed on a table outside the library doors. The included checkout slip will list the items and due dates.

Returning: When you are done with the items, please place books in the book drop. DVDs must be returned during the library’s open hours and placed in a box on the pickup table. All items will be quarantined before reshelving and checked out to other patrons.

If you need help with any part of the process, please do not hesitate to give us a call at 814-697-6691. If we are not available, leave a message and we will return your call.

WiFi is available 24 hours a day, even though the library building is closed to the public. You can access the WiFi by signing on to ovmlguest and using the password “librarycard”. A temporary library card can be issued for those in our service area for downloadable eBooks, audiobooks, and databases by contacting the librarian at ovmlibrary@gmail.com, via the website www.ovmlibrary.org, or by leaving a message at 697-6691 with your name, address and phone number.
