OVML Update May 22nd

The Oswayo Valley Memorial Library will slowly reopen in phases starting Tuesday, June 2nd, with guidelines in place to ensure our community’s health and safety.

Patrons may begin placing holds for books and DVDs now through My Account on the SPARK catalog (through our website www.ovmlibrary.org), by email at ovmlibrary@gmail.com, or by calling the library at (814)697-6691. Holds will not be accepted in person and will only be filled for OVML items. No inter-library loans will take place during this time. You will receive a call when your items are ready for pickup. Items will already be checked out to patrons and sealed in plastic bags and placed on a table outside the library doors. Only library staff are allowed in the library building for any reason.

Please place all book returns in the book drop. These items will be quarantined before reshelving and checked out to other patrons.

WIFI is available 24 hours a day, even though the library building is closed to the public. You can access the WiFi by signing on to ovmlguest and using the password “librarycard”. A temporary library card can be issued for those in our service area for downloadable eBooks, audiobooks, and databases by contacting the librarian at ovmlibrary@gmail.com, via the website www.ovmlibrary.org, or by leaving a message at 697-6691 with your name, address and phone number. Our Summer Learning program will be taking place online this year. Check our website for updates as they become available.

We hope you and your families are well and staying safe!
