It has been a few years since I have read this book, but it is another favorite of mine from a favorite young adult author. Maas creates characters and places that you will not soon forget. Celaena Sardothien, an assassin, is brought to the castle so she may win her freedom in a competition to become the King’s Champion. As the competition begins, something evil makes its presence known and soon becomes a fight for survival.
