With all the books we have read for book club this year, this is one of my favorites. Alice Wright hopes to change her life by marrying an American and leaving England. As she realizes that she has exchanged one cage for another, Alice decides to become a packhorse librarian. Full of trials, friendship, and love, we see how this small library makes ripples and differences in a small Kentucky town.
