Since “The Spiderwick Chronicles” series has become popular again, I thought I had better read it. I don’t know why I didn’t when it first came out, but that’s beside the point. Even reading this as an adult I found it entertaining and enjoyable. I can understand why young readers enjoy this series if they are fantasy fans. The Grace children have moved to a new house. One of the brothers, Jared, discovers a handmade book in the attic. It appears to be a field guide of creatures they believed were only stories, and finding it is only the beginning of their adventures.
