Candace Fleming creates an excellent read for young tweens and teens with this book. I highly recommend it for those who enjoy history and puzzles. “The Enigma Girls” follows the secret work of ten teens during WWII, and how they helped win the war by breaking codes and ciphers, without ever discussing their work. They were thrown into their jobs at Bletchley Park without a full understanding of what their job even was. They had to learn quickly and remain silent about what they were doing. It is well-written and keeps readers interested. It makes it seem like you are not always reading nonfiction.
