I needed to read a graphic novel for class, so I picked one for the season. I have not read many graphic novels, but this was a fun story showing you can make friends even in the most unlikely places. I enjoyed the watercolor and ink illustrations. They helped set the mood and settings and showed the story well. Eleven-year-old Grey decides to take the shortcut through the cemetery to school. He soon starts to get the feeling he’s being watched. After that, things get even more strange as odd gifts are left for him at night. When Grey discovers who they are coming from he also finds a new friend. But, their friendship defies the ordinary and may have some serious consequences.
