OVML Update May 15th

The Oswayo Valley Memorial Library continues to wait upon guidelines from the Office of Commonwealth Libraries in order to be able to reopen. While we wait, we would like to announce that we have become a “fine-free” library! There will no longer be any fines due on any overdue items, including DVDs. As long as overdue items are returned, no fine will be collected. If you have items still out that are long-overdue please return them so that they can be reinstated to the collection and made available to other patrons. You can return items in the book return at any time, except DVDs, which can be returned when the library is reopened to the public. We are hoping that this change in policy will be beneficial to those that have stopped using the library due to accrued overdue fines.

WIFI is available 24 hours a day, even though the library is closed. The public can access the WiFi by signing on to ovmlguest and using the password “librarycard”. A temporary library card can be issued for those in our service area for downloadable eBooks, audiobooks, and databases by contacting the librarian at ovmlibrary@gmail.com, via the website www.ovmlibrary.org, or by leaving a message at 697-6691 with your name, address and phone number. Our Summer Learning program will be taking place online this year. Check our website for updates as they become available.

We hope you and your families are well and staying safe!
