Edgar Allan Poe, an iconic American writer, died at the age of forty on October 7th, 1849. His death is a complete mystery. This book gives us a look into his life, helping us to understand him a little better. We see more of his character besides the writer and how life events helped to shape his writing. I am not a big non-fiction or biography reader. It is something I am working on adding to my reading goals. I enjoy Poe’s writing, and I am glad that I picked this up.
