This is a great start to a series that has become very well-known today. It is well written for the time, stays believable, and has you on edge trying to figure out the killer. Richmond, Virginia has a killer on the loose leaving behind little clues. Dr. Kay Scarpetta is working against the clock to catch the culprit. The case is pushing her to the limits and may even be placing her in danger.
